"Computer-optimized to best eliminate the colorations and false enhancements common to most loudspeakers, especially at high volume.

Nelson-Reed satellite and subwoofer systems are carefully matched for seamless reproduction of the entire musical spectrum. Out subwooofers should not be considered "add-ons", but part of the complete loudspeaker systems, constructed in separate cabinets or superior performance. Single, overly-large cabinets can be cumbersome. The Nelson-Reed concept allows perfect placement of each cabinet; the midrange and base can be positioned independently, optimizing the performance of each. All Nelson-Reed loudspeaker systems allow system upgrades by offering appropriate passive or active bi-amp or tri-amp options."

"The Nelson-Reed Model 8-04 Loudspeaker represents a technological breakthrough, creating a new class of loudspeakers: the 8-04 has the highest power handling and lowest distortion specifications of any single-midrange loudspeaker in the world. The 3-inch dome drivers used in the 8-04 is coupled to a 160 oz. magnet assembly, which lowers distortion and increases sonic output. Mid-band distortion at 110db continuous output is below 0.35%, less than one-tenth of any other three-way system.

A system comprised of 8-04 speakers, with one or more 1204 subwoofers, can reproduce music at levels and frequencies which satisfy the full limits of human hearing. With a specification of 120db output from 16Hz to 20kHz, the 8-04 / 1204 system reproduces music without compression or distortion, providing a startling degree of realism."
