Topic: How can I send and pickup email while traveling?
« on: December 05, 2008, 01:03:44 PM »

While traveling you may not have Outlook or your computer. You can easily pick up and send email from your account using any web browser.

Go to: http://yourdomain.com/webmail

and log in using your email user and password.

Remember, your user is the full email address like: andy@manskerconsulting.com.

After entering, select HORDE. Squirrel Mail and RoundCube work fine also. These are just three different programs to achieve the same purpose.

Be sure to check out the options on the lmenus. These are for HORDE, but similar funcitonality is in the other mail apps.

VIEW MORE EMAILS ON EACH PAGE
Options / Mail / Mailbox & Folder Display Options /  Messages per page
(changing this from 20 to 50 or 100 can be very convenient)

IMPORT ADDRESS BOOK
You can export your Outlook or other Contacts and import all of them into Horde in just a few minutes.

EASIER TO DELETE EMAILS
Typically you don't delete emails from Horde or your desktop/work computer will never download them. When you DO delete, it is much easier if you change the setting:
Options / Mail / Deleting & Moving Messages /
TURN ON: When deleting messages, move them to your Trash folder
